The LaCie Fuel will allow your device (smart phone, tablet, computer, etc.) to connect simultaneously to the wireless signal that it emits, so as to wirelessly access the content stored on the Fuel, and to a Wi-Fi Internet router connection.
LaCie Fuel allows you to pass through the wireless signal it emits so that you are able to connect to the internet at the same time as access your Fuel content.
However, if you find the connection with the device fails, or if the device will only allow you to connect to one or the other, please proceed with the following troubleshooting steps:
If the problem persists, please continue by enabling Multicast streams on your router.
To do so, check the user documentation and/or contact the manufacturer.
Search for how to enable multicast streams on your device manual (you should login to your router’s settings through a browser, select advanced then enable multicast streams).
Some routers include the option called "Enable Multicast Streams". This must be checked for the router to allow you to connect.
