I only have two or three disks. Can I still create a RAID array?

The LaCie Biggest S1S cannot create an array from just two disks. If you only have three disks, you can only create a RAID 5 + Hot Spare array. The three disks must be installed in the bottom three Drive Bays, with the top Drive Bay (the Hot Spare location) empty.
