In rare circumstances, Toast is unable to burn a CD or DVD, when all other burning programs are still working properly. This does not indicate a failure in the drive, but rather, the Toast program itself.
Try the following troubleshooting options to find a solution to the problem. Try burning again after each change.
Trash and reinstall the Toast program.
Try burning different data from a different folder.
"Repair Permissions" on the computer's startup disk in the Disk Utility program.
Delete the Toast preferences from the user library folder, empty the trash, then start the program again.
