Identify unknown issues
This guide will help you identify an issue with your device that may not be obvious.
In all cases of troubleshooting, the best place to begin is with the basics. Ensure that all the cables are connected and seated securely at both ends. This is especially important with external peripherals and we should never assume the cables are connected.
Once you have confirmed that all cables and the power supply are connected securely and if you are still experiencing a problem, please choose from the following scenarios:
Scenario 1:
The device is powered on but doesn't appear to react in any other way.
Scenario 2:
The device powers on and can connect, but I seem to only have limited functionality or slow transfer speeds.
Scenario 3:
The device is making odd noises or other physical symptoms
