LaCie Private-Public

Mac® Users: If you are running OS X 10.6 64-bit (Snow Leopard) or OS X 10.7 (Lion) or OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) , you must install the latest version of OSXFUSE before running the LaCie Private-Public installer. Download OSXFUSE

Follow the directions below to install LaCie Private-Public on your LaCie storage device:

  1. Unzip the file content directly to the root of your LaCie hard drive or USB Key.

    NOTE: For proper operation, the LaCie Private-Public installer cannot be stored within a folder on your LaCie hard drive or USB Key.

  2. Launch the installer by double clicking on LaPrivate.exe (Windows®) and LaPrivate (Mac).

  3. Follow the onscreen steps to create your secure volume.
