SilverKeeper 1.1

Full support of permissions/privileges info under OS X. User must provide Admin password for full privileges support. No information is made available to LaCie or the Internet. Privacy is assured.

Scheduling now available under OS X (V10.2 or newer). Backups may be set for a specific day and time. Additionally, can also set backup to occur at next startup. You cannot schedule backup to occur at shutdown, as OS X has specific limits as to what can be done at shutdown time.

Bootable backups can be made for OS 9 or OS X. User must provide Admin password for full privileges support under OS X. No information is made available to LaCie or the Internet. Privacy is assured.

Program and Help files are now localized. Help files are available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Application is localized to same languages, and some support for Japanese is also provided.

Log file is no longer limited to 32KB; it is now large enough to support the largest backups.

Minor cosmetic and appearance improvements have also been made.

Improvement/Changes with V1.1:
  • OS X: Scheduling now implemented for day/time or at Startup.
  • OS9/X: Bootable Backups can be made to local hard drives. You cannot make a bootable backup to a network drive.
  • OS9/X: Localized for English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Some localization for Japanese within application.
  • OS9/X: Log file size no longer limited to 32KB.
  • Better support for networked drives
  • Better support for Unicode
