Manufacturing Tools
LaCie is focused on creating high quality external peripherals with added value, and on helping customers to easily integrate these products. The core mechanisms, which represent most of the purchasing expenses, are obtained from large companies, most of which are American and Japanese.
The manufacturing of all electronic parts (boards, power supplies) and casings (designed by LaCie) are handled through Asian sub-contracting parties.
LaCie has two production facilities - one in Massy, France and the other in Portland, Oregon. Shipments are handled through transport specialists. In Europe, inventory and shipments are centralized (except for Switzerland).
After-sales service is split into two groups:
- Customer Service, which is able to assist our customers in twelve different languages
- Centralized repair center in each country where there is sales activity
Human Resources
Approximately 450 people are proud to work for LaCie and participate actively in its success.
