Do I need a driver?


Windows user :

No, the LaCie USB 3.0 hard drive is plug and play but you may need to install USB 3.0 driver included with your extension card or your motherboard.

Mac user :

A USB 3.0 driver for Mac is available from LaCie (Check compatibility and download driver here). However, if you do not have USB3, the LaCie rugged USB 3.0 is backward compatible, your drive also works with a USB 2.0 port without any driver (but at USB 2.0 speed).
