LaCie Offers Colorful Sleeves For Portable Rugged Hard Drive

LaCie today announced a colorful accessory for its popular Rugged All-Terrain Hard Drive, a handheld and bus-powered solution for cross-platform use. LaCie Colored Bumpers are designed to perfectly fit around the LaCie Rugged, giving people a set of three colors to personalize its look. The set includes green-grey, blue-grey and black.

LaCie Colored Bumpers are easy to change yet durable once one. They’re made of the same quality rubber as the original Rugged sleeve and compatible with all models.
LaCie Rugged is designed to protect data against everyday bumps, bruises and hard knocks of the real world. Its unique metal shell and colorful rubber bumper protect it from table-height drops, and it’s powered by the FireWire or USB connection so there’s no need to carry a cumbersome AC adapter.
LaCie Rugged is ready out of the box for cross-platform use, or can be formatted to fit specific needs. The Triple Interface model with FireWire 800 gives it the edge needed for digital content creation. Also comes in a USB-only model.

The set of three LaCie Colored Bumpers is available immediately via LaCie websites and widely available via LaCie’s specialized dealer network later this month for $16.99.
