Simple setup and care make the AIT Turbo range ideal for storing and restoring business data, and drives come complete with Retrospect Workgroup/Single Server software for automated backup and disaster recovery. AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape) offers the highest level of security for data and allows people to move their valuable archives offsite to be stored in a secure location. Whether for an individual or group, AIT Turbos outperform DDS (Digital Data Storage) technology by reaching mid-range transfer rates of up to 12MB/s uncompressed depending on the model. AIT media is backwards- and forwards-compatible for flexibility within the range.
The LaCie AIT 1 Turbo is an affordable backup solution for individual workstations, offering 40GB uncompressed/100GB compressed capacity with a sustained transfer rate of 21GB per hour. The LaCie AIT 2 Turbo offers 80GB uncompressed/200GB compressed capacity and a doubled transfer rate of 43GB per hour making it the ideal server backup device to keep business moving forward. With a sturdy aluminum d2 design, LaCie AIT Turbos can be stacked or integrated into standard 19-inch racks.
Availability
The AIT 1 Turbo is available immediately and the AIT 2 Turbo will ship early next year at the suggested retail prices below. Drives are bundled with Retrospect Workgroup/Single Server backup software for Macs and PCs, and are compatible with Tolis BRU and Veritas Backup Exec software. All necessary cables are included. AIT Turbos work with Windows XP Professional/2000 Server/2000 and Mac OS 10.2.3 or higher.
