Frequently Asked Questions


I’m having problems with my SCSI (or ATA) devices since adding a new device.


If SCSI:
  • Check the ID numbers to make sure no two SCSI devices are set to the same SCSI ID number on the same bus.
  • Verify that only the last device is terminated.
If ATA:
  • Make sure that only one is set to Master. The other needs to be set to Slave.
  • Verify that your computer supports a second device (Slave) on the ATA bus. Some computers only support Master.
